Characterization study
The study included characterization of separator gases from the fourteen fields delivering gas to a processing plant and characterization of the separator gases from two new petroleum fields. Based on the performed characterizations and production forecasts, the cricondenbars and the C2+-contents of the future gas deliveries to the processing plant were projected.
PVT study
A bottomhole oil sample from a petroleum reservoir was tuned to experimental PVT data including viscosity experiments. The resulting characterized fluid was then used to generate input files to Eclipse Black Oil and Eclipse Compositional.
Wax deposition study
The conducted study comprised two parts. Part 1 covered preparation of all involved fluids including adjusting the fluid parameters to match measured PVT and wax content data. Part 2 covered simulating predictions of wax deposition in the pipeline and from those making recommendations of a suitable pigging frequency.
Hydrate Study
The hydrate potential for a pipeline system was evaluated, and the amount of methanol required to inhibit hydrate formation was determined for the system during pre-determined scenarios for normal production, shutdown, and start-up.
Scale study
The scale potential of a CO2- and H2S-rich oil was evaluated at conditions in a pipeline, where the oil was contacted with brine.
