Depth gradient study
Eight samples from two different wells have been investigated to determine the validity of the samples and whether there is communication between the two well. The fluids were cleaned from MUD contamination using the clean for mud option in PVTsim. Depth simulations were performed over the two wells and it was concluded that there is no communication between the two wells.
Characterization study
The study comprises quality check of two fluids samples from an offshore opportunity. The most representative fluid was tuned to experimental data including viscosity experiments and data for wax appearance point and wax content. The resulting characterized fluid is then used to generate input files to Eclipse Black Oil, Prosper, Pipesim, OLGA 2000 and HYSYS.
Wax deposition study
Wax deposition three different stable oils. The three fluids was regressed to experimental data and a sensitivity study involving 14 cases was carried out to investigate the influence of inlet temperature, heat transfer coefficient for the pipe wall, ambient temperature and flow rate on wax deposition.

Implementation of new PVTsim models and options, as well as general improvements based on user input. PVTsim is in the early stages of a migration to the Microsoft .NET platform and much of the code is being restructured to facilitate the migration.
