High salt concentrations in completion fluids have been investigated. PVTsim calculate the maximum solubility as function of temperature. PVTsim does not allow for calculations if the fluid is super saturated. Solubility data for typical salts in completion fluids have been applied in order to describe the solubility better in PVTsim.
An important step in developing accurate EoS models is a close examination and quality check of the PVT reports. PVTsim is capable of quality checking bottom hole samples as well as separator samples by a set of various test to verify the quality of the experimental PVT data.
