Depth Gradient Modeling
Job Description
Using PVTsim it is possible to simulate the compositional variation with depth considering both gravitational and thermal effects. The thermal contribution is modeled using irreversible thermodynamics.
Studies can include several samples from different depths and a possible gas-oil contact can also be modeled.
Calsep can develop an EOS model that may take the following into account
- QC of composition and PVT data
- Clean for mud contamination
- Lumping of components
- Heavy oil modeling (API<20)
- Match of PVT data at desired pressure and temperature conditions as well as at standard conditions
- Match of viscosity data
- Accurate and continuous modeling of composition and PVT properties as a function of depth, including representation of a gas-oil contact
