Flow Assurance

Precipitation and deposition of solids in pipelines are determined through a fine interplay between phase equilibria and flow conditions. Calsep has developed an expertise in both areas.

This unique combination enables Calsep to provide consultancy projects both in simulating single laboratory experiments of wax, asphaltene, hydrate, and/or scale precipitation from reservoir fluids and in simulating the complex flow scenarios resulting from precipitation and deposition of solids in multiphase pipelines.

All flow assurance consultancy projects are carried out using the PVT simulator - PVTsim and the flow assurance pipeline simulator - Flowasta, which are both developed and maintained by Calsep. See also References.
